Cancun is for sure number 1 in popularity. It is the major resort in Quintana Roo state that has been advertised for more than 30 years as a tropical paradise. It sure is one of the best places for a beach vacation. All the main resorts are conveniently located in the Hotel Zone, just 25 min away from the International Airport.
When it comes to privacy, serenity, and a minimum number of people around, your choice is Isla Mujeres or Tulum. If you initially planned to propose in Cancun, but are still unsure about the exact locations, take a look at the following photos during the sunset photo session in Isla Mujeres.
What do you think about this gorgeous location? Does it look like the ideal spot for your surprise proposal? Direct sunset is possible to admire in Isla Mujeres or Cozumel. However, this second island is farther from Cancun and requires more time to travel around it. A trip to Isla Mujeres takes only 20 min on a comfortable ferry. Tulum is famous for its eco-hotels, “Las Cabanas” where everything, including restaurants, stores, and bars, is decorated in chic boho style. Apart from this unique design, the other important attraction is Tulum beach, where you are surrounded only by miles of white sand, turquoise water, and tropical nature.
