While we’re getting settled and still searching for a long-term rental, our days look pretty simple. Lots of walking around, nothing too intense. And even in these slow first days, Spain makes it easy to feel inspired. The colors, the streets, the views… there’s visual inspiration everywhere. These are just my first impressions, but they’re already making this whole transition feel a little lighter. #spain #movetospain #málaga

Rented a car in Spain for the first time, and it was a lot. New signs, new rules, roundabouts everywhere, and streets that felt way too narrow for my comfort level. The whole experience was a mix of excitement and stress. First-time driving in a new country is definitely an adventure but we did it. #spain #movetospain #malaga

After getting our visa, the hardest part has been finding a long-term rental… And we’re still looking. Hopefully next week we’ll find something. So for our first week, we booked a two bedroom apartment for — €700. Super affordable compared to the US. It’s a bit messy… we only arrived two days ago. But the view from the terrace? Worth it. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two terraces… And a stunning view of Gibraltar and even the coast of Africa. #movetospain #spain #travel

Moving to a new country is scary. After a whole year of planning, there’s still so much uncertainty, a lot of unknowns, and a million little things to figure out. But sometimes the scariest steps are the ones that lead to the most growth. We’re embracing this change, learning as we go, and finding pieces of home in unexpected places.
