Is it possible stay married 50 years? I caught myself thinking about it while talking to Claudia, who was organizing all the wedding anniversary details for her parents in Soliman Bay at Casa Yardena. She told me that it will be a private celebration with family members only.
I first saw Gloria and Oscar walking down the stairs, holding hands, smiling and while following their steps through the lens I thought, “there is obviously something more than love that keeps two people together for such a long period of time”. About that issue she said that if there is any secret that she can share about their long lasting relationship is “Patience and respect”
Words cannot describe all the magic that was in the air on the day of the celebration. The fusion of sunny Caribbean atmosphere, friendly people and the uniqueness of the day created invisible sparkles of joy and happiness.
The time when the speech was pronounced during the ceremony gave me a chance to capture many candid emotions that were filled with smiles, tears, appreciation and respect to the couple that showed us that, “together forever through good and bad times” is possible! As long as you stay true to the commitment made on the wedding day, life will give everything to the couple ready to go hand in hand along the life road.
At the end I felt grateful for being part of such a special celebration and a chance to know wonderful people that by their own example showed us that true love really exists.
